The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
Plot synopsis:
"I was born under unusual circumstances." And so begins ‘The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,’ adapted from the 1920s story by F. Scott Fitzgerald about a man who is born in his eighties and ages backwards: a man, like any of us, who is unable to stop time.
This movie has plenty to tell; the entire movie is like a story. Told in flashbacks in the form of a journal, the movie captures certain moments in Benjamin’s life from being born with the body of an old man, abandoned by his own father, to growing up in New Orleans in an old folks home, aging backwards and seeing the world.
The film is a graceful depiction of life, love, and age, things that we all face.
Brad Pitt is excellent, and the direction of David Fincher is exquisite.
The characters are very believable, each with their own flaws and strengths.
This film is a rare one, and it stands as an incredible testament of how we all must face time, one way or another. Great, Fantastic movie!
